Spin Doctor Nevermore Dress: Sweet Echo Plus Facebook
(Size 4X)

I listed the Sweet Echo Facebook page instead of their website because I noticed this dress is not listed on their webpage. I know Michelle of Sweet Echo has stock of size 3X and 4X available. You will have to message her directly on the FB page to order. This dress is currently on sale for $69!!!! I know she only has a few in stock so if you're in love I would get on it fast! This dress was released in the Fall of 2013 so I don't know how many are still out there. The Nevermore Dress by Hell Bunny is made from black stretch cotton, with a fitted waistband, and flared double layer short skirt which is trimmed with black ribbon. The V-shaped neckline is trimmed with soft, black, mesh ruffles and the upper back and chest is made from soft, spotted, black mesh. The long sleeves are made from soft, black lace. This Gothic dress has faceted, black, glass button fasteners on the cuffs and down the center back, plus a zip at the lower back. The skirt measures 20 inches. The fabric is 98% cotton and 2% spandex.

Baroque Tights: Donatella's
(Size 4X)

Gorgeous net pantyhose with a stunning baroque pattern. I have been creeping Donatella's for a long time and was wondering if I would fit into their tights. I'm a solid 26/28 bottom with 32" of thigh meat so you can see why I was concerned. I recently discovered they carry a few of the patterned designs in a 4X so I took the plunge. I was surprised to find they fit and I am larger than the measurements on the size chart for 4X. I would say if you have a thigh measurement that is much larger than mine these will be too small. I fit into them, but feel I would be more comfortable in a 5X. I know Donatella's is always expanding and trying to make each and every client happy so I see many beautifully patterned tights in sizes larger than a 3X in the near future. Until then  peep what they do have in stock. They have fishnets up to a 5X and FREE shipping!!!

Demonia Ribcage Flat Shoes: eBay
(Size 10)

I'm very fond of Demonia shoes and pick them up here and there. There are a plethora of shops online who carry Demonia shoes. These shoes appealed to me because of the design and they looked super comfy. I really like these shoes but they run about 1/2 a size larger and the toe distorts sometimes because they are not filled out. These shoes are not the best quality either, but for under $20 I really can't complain.

Necklace and Ring: Everyday is like Halloween

Both items were created by yours truly for my shop Everyday is like Halloween. The rosary necklaces are new so not yet listed on my Etsy (EILH) page. They will be available soon, but if you would like to order one in the meantime hit me up via FB message. I will hook you up! The rosary necklace can be customized with most any image you want and I make custom charms to dangle from the bottom. I currently do not sell rings on Etsy, but can always custom make one for you. Again just send me a message and we can work together to design something you love. Cheers.

My favorite month October is upon us. I can't wait to share many wonderfully spooky and creepy blogs for you all. I pride myself in being a bit of a Halloween/horror nut, so if you have any questions about where to find Halloween items please don't hesitate to leave me a  question comment. I will help the best I can.

The Wonderful World of Disney

Earlier this year TORRID introduced a new limited edition fashion collection inspired by the Disney movie “Maleficent”.

The pieces moved very fast and seemed to be very popular with the Torrid costumer. I loved this collection, but was not fortunate enough to score the items I wanted in my size.
If your a Disney fan and missed out the first time with the "Maleficent" collection, you're in luck!! Torrid has just birthed new batch Disney dresses; the pieces in the new collection are brighter, more cheerful, and perfect for the princess fan girl.

Creep and Peep it...

All three of these dresses are currently available as Online Exclusives at TORRID.com. I would suggest not hesitating because they will move fast. If your a regular customer and subscribe to their email service, Torrid sent out discount codes for $30 OFF $75 and $50 OFF $125 this morning. International Shipping is also currently 50% OFF, a bonus for us Canadian girls.

Back To School 90s Goth Style

For optimal viewing gratification please enjoy this video while perusing my post.

This post is a part of the Ahead of the Curve blogging collective. The theme for the month of September is Back to School. I had a ton of ideas for this theme and actually had a different post all together planned that fell though; I was going to take you back to the 80's and pay tribute to the film Revenge of the Nerds, however, the photos were not done in time. BOOO!! Have no fear, I will still share the nerdy look when it's done.
So today's back up blog is a look I threw together from pieces I had deep in the back of my closet. I'm taking you back to the 90's when I was in college, full of coffee, clove cigarettes, and angst... lots of angst.

My fashion from the 90's...
(From head to toe)

Hair: I didn't have much of it in the 90's. In fact my head was either completely shaved with a #2 clipper guard or a mass of short, colored spikes for the better part of the 90's. If I wanted to change it up I pulled out one of my many goth wigs that were all styled in inverted bobs. I searched my basement for the wigs but came up short, so you get my real, current hair for the photos.

Face: Only four makeup items were required for a full-face, goth makeup look in the 90's. White pancake (or baby powder if you were broke), black eye shadow, black liquid eyeliner and a black eye pencil (that doubled as lipstick). I would like to take the time now to thank the 90's, and Marilyn Manson, for ruining my eyebrows -- had I not shaved them, or tweezed them to death to draw them on, I would actually have decent eye brows today. When putting together my look I tried to recreate my thin brows. My brows were also not always in the shape of actual brows. X's and upside V's were also acceptable brow looks in the 90's. (See '20 Mega Eyebrow Fails' on Buzzfeed for more details).  I should also note this is a representation of day time gothic makeup. If I was going out to the club my makeup would have all been much darker and heavier or black as midnight on a moonless night.

Neck: A choker or collar of some type. It was not unusual for me to head out to the local pet store to see the new collars they had in stock. The bigger the spikes the better, the more hardware the better, and if it looked like I ran an S&M parlor I was right on track. I wanted to look hardcore even if I did match the neighbors dog.

Top: A Goth/New Wave band, Vampire, Wiccan or plan black tee with possible  modifications. All black tees and sweaters had to be 3 sizes too big in order to cover my hands and allow me to shred the cuffs and poke a hole though them for my thumbs.  I was also known to kick black velvet, fish net, and lace blouses.

Bottom: There were no pants for me in the 90's, only leggings and tights. I pretty much live by the same rule today. Staples on my bottom were striped tights, black leggings, kilts, and black skirts in various lengths and fabrics. I just mixed and matched these items to match with my top. I always, always, wore a floor-length, black, silk nightgown to the club with a band tee on top. I inherited the nightgown from my grandmother when she passed away. I was so morbid.

Feet: There was only one thing I would wear on my feet in the 90s... Boots! Three types of boots, specifically. Docs, army boots and my skull buckle boots. It didn't matter that those 21 holes took me 10 minutes to lace or that they took 3 months of blisters to break them in, or that your feet smelled like death after wearing them for 12 hours a day in 90 degree summer weather. I was going to look cool in my kick ass boots, but never with white laces. White laces were bad. HA! Does anyone remember lace colors and what they meant? Speaking of laces, I would like to apologize because my boots are laced incorrectly in the photos -- my sixteen-year-old daughter has inherited my boots, and well she is just not as hardcore as her mama. I would never have been caught dead with my boots laced like this back in the day.

Accessories: A lunch pail was my purse of choice usually, or some vintage purse I found at the Sally Ann. The two items you could always count on being in my purse were a pack of B&H 100's in some metal smoke case I had picked up at the corner store and a black eyeliner.  I always envied the girls who carried the coffin purse, but never had one in the 90's. It wasn't until about 2002 that I acquired one as a gift. I never used it.

Thanks for creeping my Back to School 90's Goth Style look. It was a blast pulling this stuff out of the closet. My Sisters of Mercy shirt was a little beat up and I had to do a quick surgery on it. While the total look is not 100% on-point for the 90's, I think you get the idea. I do believe studded belts were more of an early 2000's thing, but it seemed to be working with the skirt. I leave you with a few photos of me from the 90s.

(1998 when I finally grew my hair out from the shaved head)
